The FSP3 Pyranometer is a secondary standard solar radiation sensor compliant with ISO 9060 and WMO technical standards. It is used to measure solar irradiance received on a horizontal surface from a hemispherical solid angle (2π steradians), with the unit of measurement in W/m².

Overview

The FSP3 Pyranometer is a secondary standard solar radiation sensor compliant with ISO 9060 and WMO technical standards. It is used to measure solar irradiance received on a horizontal surface from a hemispherical solid angle (2π steradians), with the unit of measurement in W/m².

The FSP3 operates in a fully passive mode. It is a cost-effective solar radiation measurement instrument widely used in meteorological observations, building physics, climate studies, and solar energy collection experiments.

Key Features

·  Measurement accuracy is comparable to Kipp & Zonen secondary standard pyranometers.

·  Fully passive operation: a thermocouple sensor generates an output voltage proportional to the radiation flux.

·  Easy to use: only a precise millivolt-level voltmeter is required for data reading.

·  Compatible with most commonly used data acquisition systems.

Applications

Widely used for accurate solar radiation measurement in meteorology, solar thermal and photovoltaic power plants, surface solar energy balance studies, outdoor material testing, and solar radiation research in universities and scientific institutes.
